These guys have got "it" right

While sitting here on the 5th floor at the library (my new motivational place to study) I was being sereneaded by Mumford and Sons. I noticed a common theme in their lyrics; and while the context is usually in a "you're-misisng-out-by-not-being-with-me" kind of way they have got it right when it comes to that immaculate, stressful, beautiful four letter word L-O-V-E.

"And there will come a time, you'll see, with no more tears.
And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears."

"Love it will not betray you, dismay or enslave you,
It will set you free Be more like the man you were made to be. There is a design, An alignment to cry, Of my heart to see, The beauty of love as it was made to be"

"Lend me your hand and we'll conquer them all...
Lend me your eyes I can change what you see...But your soul you must keep, totally free"

"In these bodies we will live, in these bodies we will die
Where you invest your love, you invest your life"

"I never meant you any harm
But your tears feel warm as they fall on my forearm"

"But I gave you all"

"But it was not your fault but mine
And it was your heart on the line"

"Together we can see what we can find
Don’t leave me alone at this time"

"Stars hide your fires,
And these here are my desiresAnd I will give them up to you this time around"

"Can you lie next to her and give her your heart, your heart?
As well as your body, and can you lie next to her and confess your love, your love?"

"You desired my attention but denied my affections, affections
But tell me now where was my fault, in loving you with my whole heart."

"How fickle my heart and how woozy my eyes
I struggle to find any truth in your lies,
And now my heart stumbles on things I don't know.
This weakness I feel I must finally show"

Two of my favorite Mumford and Sons songs (yes they are worth listening to): White Blank Page
Winter Winds (this video is so tight!)

Vegas baby!!!

Dear faithful readers,
I'm back ... and I don't know how I feel about it. Vegas was super fun and I really didn't want to come home. These pictures, videos and "highlights" don't even come close to describing the awesome-emity that was our weekend vaca. But here it is to barely scratch the surface, if you want full coverage let me know and we can set something up.

Highlights:
* Harry and I getting into a pool noodle fight
* In reference to the fact that Harry can't read Chinese symbols ... me "Oh wait you can't read Chinese?!?" Him, "Can you read pictures Hailey? Can you read symbols? I'm sorry they sent you to a simple minded country where they speak a language your simple mind could learn."
* Driving with my aunt and uncle while they listened to Crypteria, a german heavy metal band with a Korean lead singer who speaks English.
* Inventing ice shucking at a restaurant with Harry. You chew up ice and flick it out of your mouth and try to hit the other person's face.
* Harry and I telekanisizing by pushing our heads together really REALLY hard.
* A chinese guy reading my soul as he sculptured my head out of clay.
* Feeling heart broken that my aunt and uncle aren't LDS and don't want to be.
* Eating 2 buckets worth of crab legs just Harry and I.
* Passing the iPhone car charger from Harry and I like our iPhone's were taking a hit.

Thoughts to think while you're thinking about thinking

To my small band of followers:

I'm leaving to Vegas for the weekend ... you know what that means? Spectacular post with pictures when I get back!!! But for now I want to leave you with a few thoughts to think about while I'm getting my suntan on in Sin City.

Thought 1: Remember how easy life was in grade school? When Billy passed Sally a note in class that said, "Will you be my girlfriend? Circle Yes or No." So simple. Why can't relationships be that simple anymore? Now it's all games, the "play-hard-to-get," the "I'll-wait-at-least-2-hours-to-text-you-back-so-you-don't-think-that-I've-been-sitting-here-all-day-waiting-to-hear-from-you," the "we-can-cuddle-but-it-won't-mean-anything," the "let's-just-be-friends-with-benefits," or the all classic yet so hurtful, "wow-you're-so-amazing-and-I-hope-I-can-one-day-find-someone-just-like-you ... but not you."

Thought 2: Thinking about thought 1 if a guy passed me a note in any class that read "Will you be my girlfriend? Circle Yes or No." I would circle yes and it would probably be noted as the most adorable way any guy has ever asked me out ... ever.
