These guys have got "it" right

While sitting here on the 5th floor at the library (my new motivational place to study) I was being sereneaded by Mumford and Sons. I noticed a common theme in their lyrics; and while the context is usually in a "you're-misisng-out-by-not-being-with-me" kind of way they have got it right when it comes to that immaculate, stressful, beautiful four letter word L-O-V-E.

"And there will come a time, you'll see, with no more tears.
And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears."

"Love it will not betray you, dismay or enslave you,
It will set you free Be more like the man you were made to be. There is a design, An alignment to cry, Of my heart to see, The beauty of love as it was made to be"

"Lend me your hand and we'll conquer them all...
Lend me your eyes I can change what you see...But your soul you must keep, totally free"

"In these bodies we will live, in these bodies we will die
Where you invest your love, you invest your life"

"I never meant you any harm
But your tears feel warm as they fall on my forearm"

"But I gave you all"

"But it was not your fault but mine
And it was your heart on the line"

"Together we can see what we can find
Don’t leave me alone at this time"

"Stars hide your fires,
And these here are my desiresAnd I will give them up to you this time around"

"Can you lie next to her and give her your heart, your heart?
As well as your body, and can you lie next to her and confess your love, your love?"

"You desired my attention but denied my affections, affections
But tell me now where was my fault, in loving you with my whole heart."

"How fickle my heart and how woozy my eyes
I struggle to find any truth in your lies,
And now my heart stumbles on things I don't know.
This weakness I feel I must finally show"

Two of my favorite Mumford and Sons songs (yes they are worth listening to): White Blank Page
Winter Winds (this video is so tight!)
